Kanata Kusanagi is a ninja who isn't really stealthy. He's the childhood friend and neighbour of Meguru Yaegaki and lives together with his father.

Trivia

• Kanata is based on Hayato Fūrinji from Shun Matsuena's gaiden story "The Shining Swordsmen - Kazamarimu (閃光の剣士　カザマリム Senkō no Kenshi Kazamarimu?)", which was first published in 1997. Both Hayato and Kanata look almost exactly alike, are martial artists, and have the special ability to conjure a sword at their will. The same character also served as a namessake for Hayato Fūrinji from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.
